Numberjacks Addition up to 10: A Fun Way to Learn Addition Facts
Numberjacks Addition up to 10 is an educational app designed for iPhone users by Pete Crawford. It is based on the award-winning CBeebies Numberjacks television series and helps children to learn and practice addition facts up to 10. The app consists of four games that have different levels of difficulty to match a child's development.
The first game, Burst the Bubble, requires the child to choose numbers that add up to the trapped Numberjack. They must count the splats to work out how many more numbers are needed to burst the bubble and set the Numberjack free. In the second game, Tree Rescue, the child must match the first person's number of stepping stones to rescue two people stuck in a tree. The stepping stones show the addition, and Numberjack 3 says the sum. Gym Ball, the third game, requires the child to choose the Numberjack that is the total of the first two Numberjacks to catch the ball that the Numberjacks are heading. Finally, Numbertaker Challenge tests the child's addition facts knowledge by taking numbers from the addition sums, and the child must put them back as quickly as possible.
